PAWNEE ISD P-TECH HIGH SCHOOL

The purpose of the P-TECH program is to offer a coherent sequences of classes that leads to a high school diploma, an associate's degree, a credential, and work-based experiences that lead to the opportunity for students to receive priority in interviewing with partnering employers when they have completed the program. By utilizing partnership agreements with employers and higher education institutions our P-TECH program will also provide a smooth transitional experience for students to receive a high school diploma, a work credential, an associate’s degree, and participate in work-based education programs. The P-TECH program is designed to enable students in Grade 9, 10, 11 or 12 who are at-risk of dropping out, as defined by the TEC, §29.081, or who wish to accelerate completion of high school to combine high school courses and college-level courses. Pawnee ISD's P-TECH program will strive to provide students with a rich learning environment that provides our students the opportunities to excel and be prepared for the next chapter in their lives.
